Geo targeting aims to address a group of users dependent on a local context derived from a small part of information.
Local context of users
Via IP location, IP databases and intelligent scoring algorithms, the geographic position can be estimated. This data can be used to influence marketing messages within advertising media.
Local context of content
Today's web pages often contain positional information the user is looking for and which can be used for online marketing purposes. For example chats, forums or some specific panels can be geographically positioned directly beside the information about their content topics.
