mindUp successfully won the innovation competition "Security with and for AI" with a project for fraud detection of fakeshops and receives project funding from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics.

mindUp continues its groundbreaking work in the field of fakeshop detection.

For many years, the technology company mindUp has been intensively involved in the development of advanced solutions to combat online fraud. Particular focus has been placed on the detection of fakeshops, which pose major challenges to consumers on a daily basis. It is with great pleasure that mindUp today announces the success of its latest project in the innovation competition "Security with and for AI", as well as the funding commitment received from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics.

mindUp's latest project aims to refine existing technologies for fakeshop detection and expand them internationally. This includes, among other things, the detection of fakeshops in social media and spam emails. Particularly noteworthy is the use of state-of-the-art large language models that enable a language-independent approach. This approach is of particular importance, as fraudsters respect neither national nor language borders. Artificial intelligence thus proves to be a powerful tool to further optimise the detection of fakeshops.

"Our commitment to the fight against online fraud continues unabated. We are proud that our fakeshop detection project was successful in the innovation competition 'Security with and for AI' and that we receive the support of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics," says Joachim Feist, CEO at mindUp. "The continuous development of technologies to secure the online shopping experience is a top priority for us, and we are confident that our efforts will continue to have a positive impact on consumers worldwide."

Already since August 2022, end consumers can use mindUp's online shop analyses on the website fakeshop-finder.de for a qualified analysis on the trustworthiness of a domain.
